What is CareCredit?

CareCredit is a healthcare credit card that helps our patients manage out-of-pocket health and wellness expenses, with financing options that allow eligible purchases to be paid over time. Once approved, the card can be reused for other qualifying expenses for you and your entire family.

At Plancher Orthopaedics, we understand that out-of-network medical expenses can make it more difficult to obtain the orthopaedic care you need. CareCredit may help you handle treatment costs by allowing you to pay over time through convenient monthly payments.

What Are the Benefits of Having a CareCredit?

• Flexible payment options: Eligible healthcare and wellness expenses can be divided into monthly payments rather than paid entirely upfront. Promotional financing may be available on qualifying purchases.
• Broad acceptance: CareCredit is accepted at more than 285,000 participating locations nationwide.
• Coverage across many specialties: It can be used for other services aside from orthopaedics such, dentistry, vision care, veterinary treatment, cosmetic procedures, hearing care, chiropractic services, and other health and wellness expenses.
• Reusable credit: The card can be used repeatedly for eligible expenses for you, your family, and your pets, subject to available credit—there is generally no need to submit a new application for each treatment.
• No annual fee: CareCredit currently advertises no annual fee for the card.
• Account-management tools: The CareCredit app allows cardholders to manage their account, view statements, and access a digital card.
• Possible rewards: Cardholders approved for the CareCredit Rewards Mastercard can earn points on eligible purchases; this benefit does not apply to every CareCredit card.

Some promotional financing plans use deferred interest. This means interest begins accruing on the purchase date and may be charged retroactively if the promotional balance is not paid in full before the promotional period expires.

Am I Eligible for a CareCredit Card?

You must be at least 18 years old to apply for a CareCredit credit card, or at least 21 years old when applying by telephone. Approval is determined by Synchrony Bank and depends on its credit criteria, including information provided in your application.

You can check whether you prequalify online without affecting your credit score. Prequalification does not guarantee approval; you must accept the offer and complete a full application, which is subject to credit approval.
