POSM is proud to take the necessary precautions to ensure a safe, comfortable personalized and healthy visit for all patients.

We are pleased to tell you that we are taking measures for the safety of our patients and staff, in accordance with the CDC, American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and NYC & State guidelines. The following are some of the changes that we have implemented to reduce exposure in the office while providing a gratifying medical encounter.

UPDATING DEMOGRAPHIC DATA

After answering several essential questions on the phone or through the internet prior to your visit we will have you confirm, add or delete your information into our records from home or on your personal device. Our staffs are always available to help you.

SCHEDULING TO LIMIT THE NUMBER OF PATIENTS IN THE OFFICE AT THE SAME TIME

To maintain social distance, we request that the patient enter the office alone and on-time. This scheduling process requires you to call our office upon arrival so that we may greet you at the door. The objective is to avoid congestion and to enable people to move comfortably within the confines of the office. We will always accommodate your needs.

PROVIDING PRACTICAL PPE (PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT) TO EACH PATIENT

We will provide you with a fresh face mask upon entry to the office. We ask that you put away the face mask you arrive with and use the one we give you during the visit. This protocol will limit any contaminants from outdoors into our sanitized office. We apologize but it is imperative that our staff wear PPE and you will note numerous plexiglass shields in place to ensure the safety of the POSM family.

LIMITING PHYSICAL CONTACT WITH PATIENTS

Your temperature will be taken upon arriving to the office using a no touch forehead thermometer. Your oxygen concentration and pulse may also be read upon arrival.

SANITIZING THE OFFICE

Before, between and after all appointments the staff will maintain a sanitary environment, and be diligently wiping down all surfaces to include doorknobs, bathroom fixtures, orthopaedic equipment, and examination rooms. At the conclusion of each day an electric static air purifier is sprayed throughout the office to ensure the most up-to-date protocols are followed to render a safe environment.

PAYMENT METHODS

Appointment payments will now be contactless via numerous platforms. Credit card information will be required prior to your visit and alternatively visits may be paid for through Apple Pay, Android Pay, Google Pay, and Chase Pay.
